This apartment renovation project took place in the city center of Ljubljana. This apartment is a part of the historic building dating back to 1926. Our aim was to modernize its living conditions and accommodate the needs of contemporary living. The transformation of the existing layout was crucial to fulfil the current lifestyle demands. The former kitchen was transformed into a cozy sleeping area, while the spacious bedroom was transformed into a versatile living room/workspace that also served as a space for socializing, complete with a screening projector. The open floor plan was created by removing a wall, and the addition of multifunctional maple veneer furniture along the perimeter of the apartment allowed for maximum use of the limited 48 square meter space, providing comfort and versatility for the single inhabitant.
